Booking Terms

Booking terms with onset kenya safaris

Booking Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Onset Kenya Safaris. These booking terms are designed to ensure that your safari is planned smoothly and that both you and our team clearly understand the booking process. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Booking Confirmation

Your safari booking is confirmed once we receive the required deposit or full payment, depending on the package and travel dates. A confirmation voucher and detailed itinerary will then be sent to you by email.

2. Payments

A deposit may be required to secure accommodation, domestic flights, park permits, or other travel services. The remaining balance should be paid before the agreed deadline, which will be communicated during the booking process.

Bookings made close to the travel date may require full payment at the time of confirmation.

3. Prices

Our prices are based on the information available at the time of quotation. While we aim to honour every quoted price, costs may change due to factors beyond our control, including:

  • National park fee revisions

  • Government taxes or levies

  • Exchange rate fluctuations

  • Airline or fuel surcharge adjustments

  • Accommodation rate changes

If any significant changes occur before your booking is confirmed, we will notify you before proceeding.

4. Cancellations

If you need to cancel your safari, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.

Cancellation charges may apply depending on how close the cancellation is to your departure date and the policies of hotels, airlines, lodges, and other suppliers included in your itinerary.

Any non-refundable costs already paid to third-party service providers may also be deducted.

5. Changes to Your Booking

We understand that travel plans sometimes change. We will do our best to accommodate requests to change travel dates, accommodation, or itinerary, subject to availability and any additional costs charged by suppliers.

6. Travel Documents

Guests are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, travel insurance, vaccination certificates where required, and any other travel documents needed for their journey.

Please check the entry requirements for your destination before travelling.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage loss, personal belongings, and unexpected travel disruptions.

Travel insurance provides valuable protection and peace of mind throughout your safari.

8. Health & Safety

If you have any medical conditions, allergies, mobility requirements, or dietary preferences, please let us know before your trip so we can make suitable arrangements wherever possible.

9. Accommodation & Itinerary

Accommodation is provided as confirmed at the time of booking. If circumstances beyond our control make a property unavailable, we reserve the right to offer a similar or higher standard alternative.

Occasionally, itineraries may need minor adjustments due to weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, operational requirements, or park regulations. Any changes will always be made with your safety and overall experience in mind.

10. Wildlife Sightings

Kenya’s wildlife lives freely in its natural environment. While our experienced guides maximise every opportunity to find wildlife, sightings of specific animals cannot be guaranteed.

Every safari is unique, making each experience truly special.

11. Responsibility

Onset Kenya Safaris acts as an organiser and coordinator of travel services. While we work with carefully selected partners, we cannot accept responsibility for delays, cancellations, injuries, losses, or additional expenses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, government actions, airline disruptions, natural events, or force majeure.

12. Guest Conduct

We ask all guests to respect wildlife, local communities, fellow travellers, and park regulations throughout their journey. Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from certain activities without refund if necessary for the safety of others.

13. Photography

We may occasionally request permission to use photographs shared by guests for marketing purposes. Your images will never be used without your consent.

14. Contact Us

If you have any questions before booking, our team is always happy to help. We believe that clear communication is the foundation of a memorable safari, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Thank you for choosing Onset Kenya Safaris. We look forward to welcoming you to Kenya and creating a safari experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.
